Our well-publicised Regulation 14 Public Consultation which ran for 6 weeks ending in early March, received nearly 60 responses from residents, stakeholders, and statutory consultees.

We have tabulated all the responses. The tables are enormous so you may not wish to print them! Following much work by the NDP Steering Group and our independent planning consultant, we reviewed the responses and discussed them with the two Statutory Consultees who had wanted substantial and relevant amendments. These were Herefordshire Council (various sections), and Natural Landscapes – once known as AONB.

We consulted with 45 statutory consultees and stakeholders and received 12 responses with comments (Wye Valley AONB). The AONB and Herefordshire Council’s comments relating to these inputs are included: Table 2 Consultation Bodies Groups after AONB mtg 24.06.24
Out of 315 households notified, there were 38 responses, noting this was the sixth round of engagement with the residents. These were mainly supportive of the policies, design guide, and draft NDP. The AONB had some comments which are included: Table 3 Residents after AONB mtg 24.06.24
Out of 5 site owners (and their families), whose sites were still included at this stage of the NDP, we received 7 comments; the Wye Valley AONB also has some comments. Please see: Table 4 Landowners after AONB mtf 24.06.24

At this stage we have not yet attached it to the Design Guide. The unified document (of many pages and megabytes), will form part of the submission to Herefordshire Council for scrutiny, prior to further amendments, or commencement of the Regulation 16 public Referendum.
Prior to the Referendum, the process by which the PC undertook the consultation, and how it arrived at the final Neighbourhood Development Plan including the Design Guide, will be scrutinised by an independent body to check it has complied with the basic conditions of national planning requirements.
The Basic Conditions Statement v1 sets out how the Dormington & Mordiford Group NDP has been prepared to meet the basic conditions. It has been prepared as a supporting document for consideration by the NDP independent Examiner.
